Job Summary

The Actuarial Analyst II plays a critical role in completing projects and performing complex actuarial studies to drive business growth and improve member outcomes at Elevance Health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtains, verifies, analyzes, and models data, including risk reporting and forecasting, to inform business decisions.
  • Performs actuarial functions related to Elevance Health's Medicare Advantage business, including forecasting, budgeting, and risk adjustment modeling.
  • Collaborates with the finance leadership team and pricing team to develop and implement actuarial strategies.
  • Develops and maintains actuarial models and reports to support business operations and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Passing a minimum of three Society of Actuaries (SOA) or Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) actuarial exams.
  • Minimum of one year of related experience in actuarial analysis or a related field.

Preferred Skills

  • Self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office, with experience in data analysis and modeling.

Work Environment

Elevance Health operates in a hybrid workforce strategy, with associates required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week. Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.
