Overview:
Sedona Dental Care is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to provide exceptional patient care and support to our dental team.

Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include:
1. Greeting and welcoming patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
2. Conducting thorough reviews of patient health histories to provide quality care.
3. Taking and processing x-rays and diagnostic assessments using advanced technology.
4. Providing superior chairside assistance to supported dentists during various procedures, adhering to state dental practice acts.
5. Utilizing Dentrix for patient scheduling and record-keeping.
6. Preparing treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
7. Managing supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed.
8. Partnering with providers and team members to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize office workflow.

Qualifications:
Requirements include:
1. Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
2. Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
3. If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification.
4. Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation, with the possibility of making adjustments for individuals with disabilities. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position.
Prolonged periods of sitting and standing are required, as well as the ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times. Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year is also necessary.
