Job Title: CT Technologist

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team at Cynet Health in Charlotte, NC.

Job Summary:

The CT Technologist will be responsible for performing CT procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards. This includes operating CT scanners and associated equipment, verifying orders for each patient, and properly identifying patients with two identifiers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform CT procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.
  • Operate CT scanners and associated equipment, including postprocessing stations, IV contrast injectors, and patient monitoring equipment.
  • Verify orders for each patient and contact the ordering provider in case of discrepancies.
  • Properly identify patients with two identifiers and assist them by explaining procedures.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining and documenting on appropriate forms.
  • Interview patients to obtain a complete medical history and review electronic medical records for pertinent clinical history.
  • Record medical history on requisitions and correlate other test results with the exam being performed.
  • Administer IV contrast according to protocols, documenting type and amount, and evaluate the technical quality of images.
  • Recognize abnormal anatomy and process any necessary additional images or measurements.
  • Inform appropriate personnel of any changes in a patient's condition and initiate life support measures if necessary.
  • Assist in code blue procedures during emergencies and practice proper sterile techniques.
  • Perform invasive procedures following safety and infection control standards.
  • Maintain safety by practicing radiation safety principles for all personnel and patients.
  • Report malfunctioning equipment and assist other medical personnel during exams or services involving CT scans.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Ensure effective communication in English, both written and verbal.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital setting.
  • Proficiency with CT scanners.
