Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Agricultural Product Hauler to join our team at Southern States. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for transporting agricultural products between our facilities and customer sites using tractor and trailer combinations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload dry and liquid bulk products, equipment, and packaged merchandise from trailers.
  • Transportation: Transport products to destinations according to SSC policies, DOT regulations, and local traffic laws.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle safety inspections, review and complete shipping documentation accurately, and notify supervisors of vehicle service needs.
  • Customer Service: Represent Southern States in a positive manner through professional and courteous communication with customers and business partners.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Experience: Six (6) months of Class A commercial driving experience.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Work Environment

This role primarily involves driving SSC commercial motor vehicles in a warehouse environment that experiences seasonal temperatures and humidity, as well as outdoors where there may not be protection from weather conditions.

  • Bending and Stooping: Continuously bend, crouch, stoop while performing tasks.
