About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our Bakery team at Hannaford Supermarkets. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting the sales and merchandising efforts of our Bakery department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and making recommendations to customers on our bakery products.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the Bakery department, to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.
  • Support the sales and merchandising efforts of the Bakery department, including restocking shelves, rotating product, and maintaining visual displays.
  • Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned by management, such as preparing for promotions and events.
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge in all areas of the Bakery department, including rolls, desserts, cakes, muffins, bagels, coffees, and platters.
Requirements
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask with ease.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a retail or food service environment.
  • Knowledge of bakery products and ingredients.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
