Woodburn Nuclear Medicine is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be qualified to perform PET/CT and the full range of Nuclear Exams & Procedures, have completed an accredited technologist program, and be fully vaccinated.
Key Responsibilities- Operate PET/CT equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and perform scans to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating various conditions.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after the procedure.
- Provide clear instructions and explanations to patients regarding the procedures.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and perform scanner preventative maintenance.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and physician orders.
- Operate and maintain PET/CT imaging equipment.
- Operate and maintain dose calibrator, well counter, GM meter.
- Perform regular equipment quality checks and calibrations.
- Troubleshoot and report any malfunctions or discrepancies to supervisor.
- Greet patients, explain study, and prepare them for the imaging procedure.
- Address patient concerns and answer questions related to the scan.
- Monitor patient for adverse reactions.
- Assist patients onto the imaging table and into injection chair.
- Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to plan and evaluate imaging protocols.
- Assist in the scheduling of patients for timely and efficient workflow.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging data.
- Ensure proper coding and billing for imaging services.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding radiologic health and safety.
- Participate in continuing education to stay current with industry standards and technology.
- Certification by ARRT or NMTCB.
- State licensure as required.
- Proficient in cross-sectional anatomy, patient positioning, and imaging techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient-focused care.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
