We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Department Nurse to join our team at UW Health University Hospital.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our 58-bed Emergency Department, which treats over 60,000 patients per year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency nursing, with experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center.
Responsibilities- Provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and make decisions.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest emergency nursing practices.
- Work effectively in a team environment to ensure seamless patient care.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
- Two (2) years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years.
- Experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center.
- Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 week minimum).
- Permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison.
The Emergency Department at UW Health University Hospital is a dynamic and challenging environment that requires flexibility and adaptability. The successful candidate will be required to work Evening/Nights, 8 and 12 hr shifts, and may be required to float to other units within the hospital.
