Position Overview:
This role is situated in the Atlanta Inpatient Oncology unit, with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, including weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize the nursing process to evaluate and deliver age-appropriate care to patients receiving medical or supportive therapies.
  • Administer chemotherapy and blood products, monitor patients for adverse reactions, and implement necessary interventions.
  • Provide care for patients undergoing radiation therapy and post-operative procedures, including reconstructive surgeries.
  • Support patients and their families coping with cancer, addressing both emotional and physical needs.
  • Complete formal training prior to the administration of chemotherapy.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program and possess a valid RN license in Georgia.
  • A minimum of two years of full-time nursing experience.
  • Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
  • Unit-specific CPR certifications as required.
  • Additional education and certifications may be necessary.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • National Certification in a Clinical Specialty is preferred.
  • Other desirable qualifications specific to the oncology unit.
