As a Respiratory Therapist at Della Infotech, you will be responsible for assessing and stabilizing the respiratory status of individuals of all ages, including neonates. You will respond to all medical emergencies within the facility, set up and maintain equipment for patients requiring mechanical ventilation, NIPPV, invasive and noninvasive procedures, and perform equipment maintenance, supplies, and troubleshooting. You will also maintain the arterial blood gas laboratory, including obtaining samples, analyzing data to determine treatment adjustments, and maintaining proficiency per CAP standards.

Respiratory Care Clinical Practice Guidelines are the standard of care for all modalities. You will care for patients from the ER, Birthing Center, Surgical Unit, and PCU (high acuity), including those with RSV, asthma, sleep apnea, and COPD. You will perform oxygen checks, nebulizer treatments, and handle rapid responses and medical emergencies.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Care
  • 1 year of acute care experience
  • Ability to work independently as the only RT on duty
  • Ability to provide care for patients on a ventilator to maintain a stable airway
  • Ability to perform arterial blood gas draws
  • Ability to intubate independently (preferred)
  • COVID + booster

Certification Requirements:

  • ACLS (AHA)
  • PALS (AHA)

State License Requirements:

  • Vermont

Weekend Requirements:

  • Rotating Weekends

On Call Requirements:

  • 4 hours of on-call with sleep room provided, OT hours if woken up between 1 am and 5 am
