Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist II to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As an Occupational Therapist II, you will provide effective direct care to a variety of complex patients, acting as a role model and supervisor for junior staff. You will also help identify patients who have unmet occupational therapy needs and contribute to performance appraisals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Occupational Therapy Evaluations: Perform occupational therapy evaluations according to professional standards and departmental guidelines.
  • Develop and Implement Intervention Plans: Demonstrate knowledge of intervention options and execute a program of skilled occupational therapy intervention.
  • Participate in Professional Growth: Actively participate in professional growth of self and others.
  • Contribute to Quality Improvement: Actively participate in quality improvement and program development.
  • Perform Other Duties as Assigned: In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Experience: 6 months relevant experience
  • Licensure: Licensed to practice in Occupational Therapy in the Commonwealth of Virginia. New grads must be licensed within 6 months of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Physical Demands

The job requires frequently bending/stooping/traveling (distance: 1⁄2 mile). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull lbs. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
