We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health team at Novant Health. Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse in our Behavioral Health unit, you will be responsible for:
- Assessing and evaluating patients with acute mental illness, substance use disorder, personality disorder, substance abuse, or developmental disability.
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans to promote optimal health and well-being.
- Providing education and support to patients and their families to promote health and wellness.
- Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
- Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions and treatments to promote positive patient outcomes.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A current RN licensure in the appropriate state.
- Experience working in a behavioral health setting, preferred.
- Knowledge of psychiatric medications, side effects, and treatment interventions.
- Ability to establish therapeutic rapport and maintain control of violent patients.
- Ability to comprehend policies and procedures and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
