Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health team at Novant Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with physicians and other team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse in our Behavioral Health unit, you will be responsible for:
  • Assessing and evaluating patients with acute mental illness, substance use disorder, personality disorder, substance abuse, or developmental disability.
  • Developing and implementing individualized care plans to promote optimal health and well-being.
  • Providing education and support to patients and their families to promote health and wellness.
  • Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
  • Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions and treatments to promote positive patient outcomes.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
  • A current RN licensure in the appropriate state.
  • Experience working in a behavioral health setting, preferred.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric medications, side effects, and treatment interventions.
  • Ability to establish therapeutic rapport and maintain control of violent patients.
  • Ability to comprehend policies and procedures and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
