About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Principal Data Security Architect to join our team at Databricks. This is a critical role that will have a profound impact on shaping the future of data security and privacy.

Salary & Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $232,000 - $313,000 USD per year, depending on location and experience. Job Description

This senior-level position requires a seasoned leader with extensive experience in data security and related areas. The ideal candidate will have expertise in two or more of the following: Cryptography, Kubernetes Security, Web Security, Governance, Privacy, Trust, Safety, Authentication, Identity Management, Access Control, Key Management, Inter-Service Authentication, Secure Application Frameworks, Detection & Response. Experience building systems at large scale internet companies is a significant advantage.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Create strategic plans to enhance Databricks' infrastructure and services security
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify and address key gaps in security
  • Promote data-driven security practices throughout the organization
  • Represent Databricks at industry conferences and events
Required Skills & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 9+ years of experience in data security or related areas
  • MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field
  • Leadership skills to drive organizational change
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to engage with senior leaders
  • Bias to action and passion for delivering high-quality solutions
