Wireless Communications and Security Engineer

About the Job: This role requires a highly skilled Field Engineer to oversee system infrastructure, program and commission systems for projects, develop programming documents and system matrices, and ensure quality assurance on system installations. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years' experience in physical security, OSHA 10 Certification minimum, Fall Protection and/or Equipment Operator Training preferred, and Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee system infrastructure, system hosting, system connectivity, and system licensing.
  2. Program and commission systems for projects.
  3. Develop programming documents and system matrices.
  4. Perform pre-installation programming, kitting, and device configuration.
  5. Provide technical support to other technicians.
  6. Apply digital licenses as needed.
  7. Evaluate and maintain quality assurance on system installations.
  8. Maintain and enforce device labeling standards.
  9. Collaborate with engineering during design and drafting phases.
  10. Contribute to the Design Team by providing drawings, red lines, and as-builts.
  11. Participate in the review process for large or complex projects.
  12. Provide field support and on-the-job training for technicians, including technical and standards training.
  13. Maintain and update job specifications as needed.
  14. Configure and maintain network infrastructure such as routers, switches, firewalls for multiple interconnected sites.
  15. Perform routine system testing and validation as well as new system integration testing.
  16. Document and update system baselines as needed.
  17. Communicate, coordinate, and schedule work with other system integrators and contractors.
  18. Maintain an updated incident response and disaster recovery plan that includes, but is not limited, to replicating data to geographically separate sites.
