We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Press Feeder to support the Lead Press Operator with the operation and maintenance of our high-security printing presses.
This role is critical in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production process.
The ideal candidate will have a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency, and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold and promote all company safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Conduct quality inspections and complete necessary paperwork accurately.
- Assist in setting up the press, maintaining high production efficiencies, and feeding stock during press runs.
- Participate actively in the maintenance and cleanliness of the press and surrounding area.
- Stage materials and supplies needed for printing jobs.
- Deliver equipment components to the press for installation and recycle old/discarded plates.
- Work closely with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance.
- Clean the area prior to the next shift starting and perform all required preventative maintenance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a press feeder in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Ability to operate hand carts, pallet jacks, and stackers.
- Competence in handling potentially hazardous materials.
- Strong personal integrity and ability to interact with all organizational levels.
- Capability to follow instructions for operation and maintenance tasks.
- High attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication in English.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork abilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Correctable eyesight to 20/20 for operating equipment.
- Adequate visual acuity and normal color perception for job duties.
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist, and stoop for up to 12 hours per day.
- Regular ability to lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 65 pounds.
- Consistent attendance and ability to adapt to fluctuating temperatures and loud noise environments.
