We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Press Feeder to support the Lead Press Operator with the operation and maintenance of our high-security printing presses.

This role is critical in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production process.

The ideal candidate will have a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency, and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold and promote all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Conduct quality inspections and complete necessary paperwork accurately.
  • Assist in setting up the press, maintaining high production efficiencies, and feeding stock during press runs.
  • Participate actively in the maintenance and cleanliness of the press and surrounding area.
  • Stage materials and supplies needed for printing jobs.
  • Deliver equipment components to the press for installation and recycle old/discarded plates.
  • Work closely with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance.
  • Clean the area prior to the next shift starting and perform all required preventative maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a press feeder in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Ability to operate hand carts, pallet jacks, and stackers.
  • Competence in handling potentially hazardous materials.
  • Strong personal integrity and ability to interact with all organizational levels.
  • Capability to follow instructions for operation and maintenance tasks.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication in English.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork abilities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Correctable eyesight to 20/20 for operating equipment.
  • Adequate visual acuity and normal color perception for job duties.
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist, and stoop for up to 12 hours per day.
  • Regular ability to lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 65 pounds.
  • Consistent attendance and ability to adapt to fluctuating temperatures and loud noise environments.
