We are excited to present a neonatologist opportunity in a vibrant capital city, offering a cost-effective living environment.
Responsibilities
We are in search of a full-time BC/BE neonatologist to join our team of five physicians at Stormont Vail Healthcare. This position involves providing comprehensive services in our Level-III, 36-bed NICU, which includes advanced treatments such as high-frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, total body cooling, and aEEG.
The NICU typically manages an average daily census of 26 patients, with an average length of stay of 19 days, and around 500 admissions each year. Our facility is supported by a wide range of pediatric subspecialties, including cardiology, neurology, general surgery, and endocrinology.
Since 2012, our NICU has proudly maintained The Joint Commission Disease Specific Certification in the Care of Premature Babies. Our neonatologists are responsible for in-house call, with additional backup call from home.
This practice welcomes both experienced neonatologists and new fellows. The city of Topeka is conveniently located between two major university towns and is approximately one hour from a major metropolitan area.
