Manual Machinist with Electromechanical Expertise

Key Responsibilities
This role entails identifying problems with industrial AC/DC electric motors and generators, making necessary adjustments, and using manual machine tools to repair and assemble equipment. Your tasks will include:
- Diagnosing issues with incoming units, disassembling, repairing, assembling, and preparing items for shipment.
- Operating conventional manual machining tools, such as engine lathes, horizontal lathes, milling machines, grinders, drilling machines, and associated equipment.
- Safely utilizing overhead cranes, gantry cranes, lift trucks, and related lift rigging.
- Performing mechanical measurements using portable instruments like dial indicators, micrometers, and portable vibration measurement equipment.
- Machining and fabricating parts using engine lathes, grinders, and drill presses.
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need at least two years of experience working with manual machining equipment or equivalent education and experience. Key qualifications include:
- Ability to read micrometer measuring equipment.
- Motor shop, machine shop, tool & die stamping, or oil field experience is preferred.
- Capacity to operate manual lathes of various sizes and dimensions.
- Ability to work with tolerances of +/- .001.
- Basic math functions should be easily performed.
- Able to understand, perform, and retain job-related training, operational, and safety procedures.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $90,000 annually, depending on experience. Additional benefits include paid time off (PTO), a 401(k) employer match, bonus incentives, tuition reimbursement, medical, dental, and vision plans, and an employee assistance program.
