As a vital member of our team, the Housekeeping Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest accommodations and public areas. This role requires adherence to the highest standards of service and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consistently uphold the I-Serve standards to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
  • Comply with all company policies and departmental procedures.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and report any hazards immediately.
  • Arrive at the designated workstation on time and adhere to the attendance policy.
  • Identify and propose improvements to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.

Specific Duties:

  • Perform all assigned housekeeping tasks promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure guest rooms and villas are impeccably clean and visually appealing.
  • Report any maintenance issues or deficiencies in a timely manner.
  • Keep all public areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping storage areas and carts.
  • Restock attendant carts at the end of each shift to ensure readiness for the next day.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a safe working environment.
  • Handle lost and found items according to company procedures.
  • Adhere to Welk Resorts’ guest engagement service standards and policies.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum of six months of relevant experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Experience in housekeeping or janitorial services is advantageous.
  • Ability to utilize mobile devices for task management.

Language Proficiency:

Must possess the ability to read and interpret safety guidelines, operational instructions, and procedural manuals. Effective communication skills with guests and team members are essential, with proficiency in English required.

Reasoning and Problem-Solving Skills:

Ability to apply common sense in executing instructions and resolving issues that may arise in a standardized environment. Flexibility and adaptability to change are crucial, along with the ability to foster positive working relationships with colleagues and vendors.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to perform various physical tasks, including standing, walking, lifting, and moving items of varying weights. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Work Environment:

The work environment is typically moderate to noisy, with exposure to outdoor weather conditions while performing duties.
