Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus is a hub for advanced research and surgery, with leading-edge technology and world-class patient care. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) on our G90 Urology Medical/Surgical Unit, you will be part of a dedicated team focused on pain control, return of bowel and bladder function, DVT prevention, and ambulation. Our patients range in age from young adult to geriatric, with the most common population being approximately 65 years old. We perform a range of procedures, including partial nephrectomy, radical nephrectomy, radical prostatectomy, urolithiasis, and cystectomy with continent/incontinent urinary diversion. A successful caregiver in this role will collect, document, and report patient data and observations, implement care plans as directed by an RN, administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider, perform routine laboratory tests, and educate patients and family members. To excel in this position, you will need a graduate degree from an accredited practical or vocational nursing program, a current Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association. Preferred qualifications include one year of patient care experience. Our caregivers prioritize creating the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities. Physical Requirements: This role requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good eye-hand coordination, extensive standing and walking, and corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
