Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team at Flagship Facility Services. As a Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Empty waste baskets and replace liners as needed
  • Dust and clean tops of office furniture, cleared desks, and surfaces of tables
  • Vacuum all carpeting and spot clean soiled areas as needed
  • Clean glass on lobby doors and other high-traffic areas
  • Empty waste baskets and replace liners in lunchrooms, break areas, and restrooms
  • Wipe and clean all table tops and chairs in lunchrooms and break areas
  • Wipe and clean vending machines and appliances in lunchrooms and break areas
  • Clean and sanitize toilets, basins, and urinals in restrooms
  • Spot clean walls, partitions, and doors as needed
  • Sweep and mop floors with disinfectant in all areas
  • Perform periodic cleaning tasks, such as cleaning overhead vents, dusting blinds, and polishing wood furniture
  • May use ladders, dust and wash walls, clean ceilings, and dust and polish light fixtures as needed
  • May remove stains from surfaces using chemicals and cleaning solutions
  • May sweep walkways, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow, or perform other incidental seasonal tasks
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • 6 months of experience in commercial facilities and building janitorial work desired
  • Knowledge of basic janitorial duties and responsibilities
  • Good listening and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand and anticipate the needs of clients
  • Punctuality and a neat appearance
Work Environment:

Small to large office environment with a fast-paced work environment. Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, cleaning products, and noise. Safety glasses required while performing certain tasks.
