JRI's Community Based Services division is dedicated to ensuring that families and their children facing significant behavioral, emotional, and mental health challenges receive the essential services for thriving in their homes, schools, and communities. As part of the Merrimack Valley Community Based Services team, you will have the opportunity to express your commitment to helping others by contributing to this vital mission. Our professionals deliver services within the communities where our clients reside, employing strength-based and needs-driven strategies, and fostering collaborative, culturally competent, individualized services through evidence-based practices. Our clinical interns play a crucial role in delivering evidence-based practices through In Home Therapy services, working with diverse families throughout the region.
During Your Internship, You Will:
- Acquire new clinical interventions to assist youth and families.
- Deepen your clinical understanding through the application of evidence-based and culturally sensitive modalities.
- Enhance your documentation capabilities and proficiency in electronic medical records.
- Become an essential member of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to supporting youth and families.
- Be authentic: JRI is firmly committed to fostering an inclusive, diverse, and welcoming atmosphere for our employees and the communities we serve. We provide training and PPE to ensure the safety of both clients and staff.

- Currently pursuing a Master's degree or higher in the counseling field. Our Merrimack Valley CBS program is exclusively accepting Master's in Counseling Major candidates.
- A clinical interest in working with children and adolescents is essential, with a preference for familiarity with trauma-informed treatment models.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Background and driving record checks will be conducted.
