About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dishroom Attendant to join our team at Oakmont Senior Living. As a key member of our food service team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen and dining areas.

Responsibilities
  • Pre-Service Preparation: Prepare the dishroom and kitchen areas prior to meal service, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in good working order.
  • Dishroom Operations: Transport all dishes to the kitchen following meal preparation and mealtimes, clearing, washing, and sanitizing dishes and utensils. Return clean dishes and utensils to their designated storage areas.
  • Clean-Up and Sanitation: Assist with breaking down the kitchen for clean-up, performing general clean-up and sanitation of the dishroom, kitchen, dining areas, steam tables, range hoods, sinks, and drains. Empty the trash and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Customer Service: Respond to resident concerns and complaints in a professional and caring manner, providing excellent customer service and ensuring resident satisfaction.
  • Teamwork and Safety: Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards and protocols. Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
Requirements
  • Experience: Prefer six (6) months of experience working in a kitchen or similar setting.
  • Age and Education: Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Communication Skills: Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
  • Certifications and Screenings: Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
