Job Title: Adjunct Faculty - Information Systems Technology

Laurel Ridge Community College is seeking a part-time Adjunct Faculty member to teach Information Systems Technology courses at our Fauquier Campus.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach college-level courses in Information Systems Technology, including introductory and advanced courses.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Utilize technology to enhance teaching and learning, including online platforms and multimedia resources.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and program improvements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a teaching field or Associate's degree with demonstrated competency in the teaching field.
  • Minimum of two years of full-time (or full-time equivalent) related information technology experience.
  • Industry certification in information technology, such as CCNA, CEH, or A+, is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in an information technology field or a master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching field.
  • Experience teaching at a community college or in a related field.
  • Willingness to adopt and teach new and emerging technologies, such as UAS (drones), artificial intelligence & machine learning, immersive technology, and robotics/automation.
Benefits:

The Adjunct Faculty member will receive a competitive rate per credit hour, commensurate with education and relevant or teaching experience. The position is part-time and does not offer health or leave benefits. However, the position may offer educational benefits through our professional development and educational assistance policies.
