Statewide Medical Director Opportunity

VitalCore Health Strategies, a leading provider of correctional healthcare, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Statewide Medical Director to oversee the clinical services provided by our professional and paraprofessional staff. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality medical care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide clinical leadership and oversight to our medical staff, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Develop and implement clinical protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality medical care.
- Manage referrals to outside healthcare facilities, ensuring appropriateness, quality, and continuity of care.
- Supervise and mentor our medical staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Participate in in-service training classes and represent our healthcare program in discussions with local civic groups or visiting officials.
- Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Michigan.
- Board Certification.
- Valid unrestricted DEA License.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Masters degree in business administration (MBA), Public Health (MPH), Healthcare Administration (MHCA) or similar is preferred.
- Experience in launching and managing innovative medical programs, including developing, conducting, and evaluating program audits.
- Ability to demonstrate leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
