Position Overview:

Consolidated Precision Products (CPP-Cudahy) is actively seeking 2 Casting Production Assistants for our 2nd shift operations. This role reports directly to the Foundry/Operations Supervisor and is essential in the preparation and manufacturing of high-quality castings for the Aerospace sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general labor tasks within the foundry environment.
  • Assist in the organization and transportation of materials and tools across various departments.
  • Manage parts and tools, including core boxes, chills, rods, and locators, ensuring all documentation is accurate to achieve optimal results.
  • Support the removal of loose components from cores and prepare them for subsequent operations.
  • With training, set up and operate foundry machinery such as belt grinders, saws, and forklifts, adhering to established procedures.
  • Load and unload casting furnaces, position equipment, and signal for assistance when necessary.
  • Assist in pouring and controlling the flow of molten metal into molds to create castings.
  • Transport materials and products to and from work areas using various manual and mechanical methods.
Qualifications:
  • Mechanically inclined with a strong ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or production operations is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required; however, candidates with relevant experience may be considered.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and able to work overtime and weekends.
  • Ability to lift weights ranging from 10 to 40 lbs.
  • Consistent attendance is essential.
Compensation:

Competitive pay range with additional shift differentials for 2nd shift work.

Shift Details:

2nd shift: 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM

With operations spanning the United States, Mexico, and Europe, CPP specializes in high-precision, geometrically complex aerospace components and subassemblies. Our capabilities include directionally solidified/single crystal castings, investment casting in various materials, and comprehensive in-house services.
