The physician is responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients in the emergency department. This includes diagnosing and treating a wide range of health problems, from minor injuries to life-threatening conditions.

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Assess and monitor patient medical needs, providing quality medical services in a cost-effective and appropriate manner
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams regarding patient care and treatment plans
• Document medical services in patient records, adhering to hospital, payor, and regulatory standards
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review activities, and ongoing process improvement activities

• Doctorate degree in medicine (MD) or osteopathic medicine (DO)
• Current licensure to practice medicine in the state of Michigan
• Board certification in emergency medicine or equivalent experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
