Job Title: Travel Mammography Technologist

Tact Staff is seeking a skilled Travel Mammography Technologist to join our team for a travel assignment in a prestigious healthcare institution.

Job Summary:

As a Travel Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammographic procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient image acquisition, and maintaining a safe and respectful environment for patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform mammographic procedures with a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Review patient records and prescriptions to ensure all necessary information is available for radiologist interpretation.
  • Practice universal precautions and aseptic technique to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Monitor and resolve exceptions list daily.
  • Properly utilize Breast reporting system (PenRad), EMR, and PACS systems.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, students, physicians, and supervisors.
  • Work collaboratively with Ultrasound to ensure a productive and comprehensive flow of patients through both modalities.
  • Perform bone density scans accurately and understand terminology and results.
  • Accurately review interventional cases and work knowledge of interventional procedures and protocols.
  • Assist with needle localizations and stereotactic biopsies, if trained.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in mammography.
  • Able to perform screening and diagnostic mammography.
  • Preferred skills: ability to perform DEXA and biopsy procedures.
