The role of Senior Software Engineer, based in Atlanta, GA, involves designing and developing reliable and high-performance software products and features.

  • Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must reside within a reasonable commuting distance.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Collaborating with and mentoring fellow developers in an organization that adheres to sound development principles.

Developing data persistence solutions for software products and engaging with various data stores (including Hadoop, MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, and Hive) as well as event streaming platforms (including Grafana, Kafka, Prometheus, and RulesEngine). Taking the lead on end-to-end solutions as a senior team member, which encompasses unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, deployments, monitoring, and security.

Encouraging the team to adopt modern practices such as test-driven development, pair programming, automation, and asynchronous communication.
Applying design skills using established patterns for constructing reliable n-tier architectures.
Overseeing the team across all levels of the stack and all stages of the process.
Engaging in both front-end and back-end development, automating tests and infrastructure, and building CI/CD pipelines.
Leading the deployment of code into production.

Specific Skills Requirement - must have professional experience in: API development using Java/Javascript/Springboot, CI/CD pipeline development and utilization, deployments, monitoring and alerting, and security.

Experience with APIGEE Proxy creation, deployment, load balancing, and handling large payloads.
Expertise in Cassandra Database design, data modeling, development, and multi-region synchronization.
Proficiency in AWS/Kubernetes for cloud-based, containerized microservice development.
Familiarity with Apollo GraphQL for API creation and modification, schema supergraph and subgraph creation and modification, API hardening, and resilience.

Experience and Education Requirements:

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree in Computer and Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or foreign equivalent, and 3 years of relevant work experience.

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or foreign equivalent, and 5 years of relevant progressive post-Bachelor's work experience.
