Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a Sterile Environment:
As a Surgical Technologist, you will ensure a sterile operating room by preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments and supplies.
- Instrument Passing:
You will assist surgeons by providing the correct instruments during procedures, requiring a thorough understanding of surgical tools and their applications.
- Count Management:
Accurate counting and documentation of sponges, needles, and instruments during surgeries is crucial for patient safety.
- Patient Preparation:
Assist in preparing patients for surgery by positioning them appropriately and ensuring the surgical site is clean and disinfected.
- Anticipate Surgical Needs:
A successful Surgical Technologist should be able to foresee the surgeon's requirements during procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are readily available.
- Patient Care Assistance:
Support patient care before and after surgical procedures, which may include monitoring vital signs and providing post-operative care.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist is required to ensure a solid foundation of skills and knowledge in the operating room.
