Position Overview & Requirements:
Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit
Discipline: Registered Nurse (RN)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Shift Details: 12-hour night shifts
Employment Type: Travel Nursing Opportunities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care in a telemetry PCU setting, focusing on patients with hospitalist medicine needs, including stroke and neurology cases.
- Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5, with a goal of achieving 1:4.
- Float within acuity levels as required.
Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia RN License
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Local candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible.
Unit Details:
- The PCU specializes in telemetry and is recognized as a Joint Commission certified primary stroke center.

- COVID-19 Vaccine: Required, with medical/religious exemptions considered.
