Key Responsibilities:

The Guidehouse Team is dedicated to supporting the OSE Data Governance Division through various initiatives focused on data integrity, metrics, sharing, governance, and analysis. This includes configuring and maintaining a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) data governance tool. Given the complex and dynamic nature of the program, the Guidehouse Team plays a pivotal role in numerous cross-functional projects and initiatives.

As a User Interface Engineer, you will be instrumental in assisting federal clients with specific projects related to the configuration, integration, and maintenance of a COTS data governance tool, as well as other initiatives that require user interface development. Key tasks include:

  • Designing and implementing features within the tool while collaborating with various teams and stakeholders to ensure the tool is tailored to meet business requirements.
  • Evaluating current implementations to identify challenges, developing future requirements, and executing solutions using a COTS data governance tool or other user interfaces that integrate with it.

Essential Qualifications:

  • An ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET/SCI federal security clearance with a Full Scope/Lifestyle (FS) polygraph
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Over SIX (6) years of experience supporting state, local, or federal clients
  • Proficient in languages such as HTML, CSS, and Front End JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular
  • Experience in developing efficient and robust Front End applications utilizing REST APIs
  • Familiarity with data formats including XML, CSV, and JSON
  • Ability to convert UI/UX wireframe mockups into functional code that produces visual elements of applications or web interfaces

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of data visualization techniques, design principles, and methodologies
  • Understanding of the data governance framework
  • Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and tools
  • Awareness of 508 compliance standards
  • Adaptability and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently in an agile setting using DevOps practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and effective communication abilities; capacity to learn technical concepts quickly and document them proficiently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships and communicate effectively across all levels of staff and leadership, as well as with various internal and external stakeholder groups
