Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Associate Medical Director to join our clinical team at UC Santa Cruz Student Health Services. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of patient care and clinician job satisfaction in our Primary Care and Same Day Care Clinics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a team of clinical professionals in Primary Care and Same Day Care Clinics.
  • Conduct staff development programs to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Lead the Quality Management Team to address issues concerning patient care and satisfaction.
  • Maintain an active clinical practice in Primary and/or Same Day Clinics, evaluating patients and reviewing clinical records.
  • Function as a resource for consultation on complex or difficult patient cases.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited medical or osteopathic school.
  • Current MD or DO California medical license in good standing.
  • Board Certification or eligibility in an applicable primary care specialty.
  • Current DEA Registration.
  • NPI (National Practitioner Identifier) number.
  • Possession of a current BLS CPR certification or must obtain within six months from date of hire.
  • Ability to oversee and lead a team of clinical professionals.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, understanding, and stated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the delivery of clinical services.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years post-residency work experience providing primary care and/or urgent care to adults and/or adolescents.
  • Experience leading a team of clinicians in a primary care setting.
  • Clinical experience in a college health setting.
