The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience as an electrician, with a focus on commercial buildings. A valid electrician's license is required, and OSHA certification is preferred. Proficiency in installing, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and components in commercial settings is essential.
We estimate the salary for this position to be around $80,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will be able to interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure all work meets code and project specifications. They will also ensure that installations and repairs meet all state and local electrical codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of Electrical Systems: Install wiring, conduit, and other electrical components in new commercial constructions, renovations, and service upgrades.
- Maintenance and Repair: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems, including lighting, control systems, and power distribution.
- Blueprint and Technical Reading: Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure all work meets code and project specifications.
- Code Compliance: Ensure that installations and repairs meet all state and local electrical codes and regulations.
- Testing and Troubleshooting: Use tools such as multimeters, voltmeters, and other testing devices to identify issues and confirm functionality of electrical systems.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow OSHA and company safety protocols, maintain clean and organized workspaces, and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Documentation and Reporting: Complete detailed reports, track job progress, and communicate updates to supervisors and clients.
