As a Patient Care Technician at US Renal Care, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team providing care and delegated activities of treatment to patients with renal failure.
Responsibilities- Provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment to patients.
- Work directly with patients to gather vital signs, initiate treatment, monitor patients during treatment, terminate treatment, and collect patient blood samples per physician orders.
- Ensure quality comes first by preparing machines for hemodialysis treatments, cleaning and disinfecting machines after treatment, and conducting machine safety checks and logging results for quality control.
- Use appropriate safety measures, including personal protective equipment, and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and state/federal laws and regulations.
- Participate in all required staff meetings and continuing education offerings.
Must possess current certification as a Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) or Certified Nursing AssistantsDialysis Technicians (CNA-DT) from the relevant state board of nursing, or be hired at a USRC location recognized by the state as an approved dialysis technician training program and obtain certification within the specified timeframe.
