Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Program Security Specialist - SAP to join our team at Huntington Ingalls Industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing duties in all areas of security, including OPSEC, CI, personnel security, physical security, and information security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement security processes necessary to protect classified information, adhering to NISPOM, ICDs, and other applicable Executive Order and DOD regulations.
  • Operate and maintain a security education, training, and awareness program, including indoctrinations, annual refresher training, debriefings, and event-specific training.
  • Develop, review, coordinate, and execute Program Security documentation, including the Fixed Facility Checklist (FFC), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Transportation Plans, Emergency Action Plans (EAPs), and Co-Uses.
  • Coordinate and work directly with government customers and government support offices, hosting security/program-related meetings for all program-related events.
  • Operate and maintain an information security program, including the transmission, receipt, and distribution of classified information, storage and accountability of classified documents, and training others in marking and classification requirements.

Requirements:

  • Must have excellent customer service skills, interpersonal skills, and professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in the initiation, recertification, and continual maintenance of security clearances.
  • Must be capable of utilizing Personnel Security Databases, such as JPAS and DISS.
  • Must have SAP (Special Access Programs) experience.
