Chess Instructor

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Chess Instructor to join our team at Long Island STEAM Group. As a Chess Instructor, you will be responsible for conducting engaging and interactive chess workshops for children aged 6-11 in schools and libraries around Long Island.

• Deliver high-quality chess instruction to students in a fun and supportive environment
• Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to different learning styles and abilities
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Collaborate with our team to ensure a cohesive and effective program

• Strong knowledge of chess strategies and tactics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including afternoons and weekends
