Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Johns Creek, Georgia.
This is a full-time, ongoing position that requires a high level of expertise in radiographic procedures, patient care, and equipment operation.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of standard radiographic procedures in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all governing regulations and guidelines.
- Review and transmit films and reports to appropriate physicians, ensuring accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work.
- Prepare patients for radiographic procedures by assessing their needs and providing education, demonstrating skills for IV placement and injection of contrast materials.
- Operate computer and radiographic equipment for image production and documentation, performing quality control measures to ensure optimal quality images.
- Enter and complete patient information, including exam charges and supplies, into the Radiology Information System (RIS) and/or other KP application.
- Prepare films for interpretation by the radiologist in an accurate and timely manner, communicating abnormal situations to proper sources.
- Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to unique department needs, responding appropriately and engaging with other healthcare providers to ensure quality, continuity, and appropriateness of care.
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Radiologic Technologist Certification.
- General knowledge of EH&S, OSHA, DHR, Radiation Safety and Protection.
- General knowledge of exam protocols.
- Basic PC skills, including keyboarding and navigation.
