Job Title: Echo Tech

ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled Echo Tech to join our Cardiovascular Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing cardiac sonographic imaging and other related functions to support patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform cardiac sonographic imaging and all necessary functions required to complete the procedure for interpretation.
  • Interact with providers as necessary for completion of the procedure.
  • Perform cardiac stress testing on patients with complete knowledge of different stress protocols and the computerized capabilities of the equipment used to perform the test.
  • Apply and process Holter/event monitors, ensuring correct setup and documentation.
  • Perform outpatient EKGs and participate in 'on call' rotation for echoes and TEEs after hours as needed.
  • Serve as a resource for other technologists, students, and hospital staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Able to navigate and document in Electronic Medical Record.
  • Perform other duties as directed by management.
Requirements:
  • Associates Degree in cardiovascular technology with a focus in cardiac imaging and/or 2 years' experience in the field of echocardiology.
  • Must be able to perform a complete echocardiogram using appropriate protocol, understand directions, communicate, and respond to inquiries.
  • Requires effective interpersonal skills, ability to differentiate colors, tolerate exposure to blood-borne pathogens and body fluids, and operate cardiac ultrasound equipment, controls, machinery, and desk machines.
  • Must be able to input and retrieve information from computer.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree in cardiovascular technology with a focus in cardiac imaging.
  • Cardiac Sonography, Stress Testing, Holter Monitoring, Knowledge of heart rhythms.
Working Conditions:

Personal Protective Equipment: Gloves, gowns, and masks as needed. Physical Demands: Must be able to move about department and between workstations, frequently move, lift, and/or carry medium weight objects and materials.
