We are seeking a skilled X-ray Technologist to join our team at Schuylkil Medical Imaging, a Rezolut Partner.

Job Summary

As an X-ray Technologist, you will have the opportunity to train onsite and conduct clinicals to become a Mammo Tech. Our ideal teammate is a self-directed learner who is willing to apply direct feedback and has excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify patients' identity and review physicians' orders before beginning x-ray procedures.
  • Use x-ray equipment to take radiographic images of patients' bones, tissues, and organs as per physicians' written orders.
  • Explain x-ray procedures to patients and answer their questions.
  • Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting and moving patients with limited mobility.
  • Limit patients' exposure to radiation by placing lead shields on patients where needed.
  • Ensure that the x-rays taken are of sound quality to prevent repeat procedures.
  • Work closely with our Radiologist to determine whether further tests are required.
  • Ensure that the x-ray equipment is regularly serviced and in good working order.
  • Maintain an accurate record of completed x-ray procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or combination of education and experience.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • ARRT certification.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
