About This Role
This per diem position is responsible for facilitating telephone and PA system communications for AdventHealth Hendersonville and its associates. The successful candidate will be a skilled communicator with excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Receive and relay incoming and outgoing telephone calls for the facility.
- Provide directory information and transfer calls as appropriate.
- Enter facility directory information into the database.
- Make general and emergency announcements over the facility's PA system.
- Handle the facility paging system and the beeper system.
- Operate an electronic switchboard to route incoming calls and place outgoing calls.
- Able to place long distance calls and conference calls as needed.
- Provide directory information to internal and external inquirers.
- Maintain current listings of all facility telephone numbers and extensions.
- Maintain current lists of all beeper numbers.
- Maintain daily lists of all facility staff on-call, including home phone numbers and beeper numbers.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Clear and precise speaking abilities required.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing required.
