Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the financial aspects of assigned projects, ensuring accurate tracking of costs and revenues, and delivering precise profit and loss assessments to project leadership.

  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers to set and adjust project budgets, providing insights and recommendations for financial adjustments as necessary.

  • Monitor revenue streams and unbilled amounts to ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards.
  • Authorize project account access and manage expense transfers in accordance with established accounting protocols.
  • Maintain high standards of quality control for financial documentation and reporting using advanced software tools.
  • Apply expertise in accounting to investigate project variances and prepare variance reports for management review.
  • Review and interpret contract terms and conditions for complex projects, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Track key performance indicators for project financial health, keeping stakeholders informed of any issues.
  • Ensure accuracy in draft invoices, coordinating with project managers for approvals before submission to clients.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships, verifying invoice accuracy and processing payment requests.
  • Address outstanding accounts receivable and unbilled costs, ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Participate in project meetings to provide updates on financial status and address any concerns.
  • Prepare and submit required government reports related to project finances.
  • Compile necessary documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional finance teams to execute project-related tasks efficiently.
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements and maintain compliance with documentation and record retention policies.
  • Engage professionally with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Mentor junior team members and interns, ensuring quality assurance in billing and budgeting processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in accounting and project financial management.
  • Strong understanding of project accounting principles and their application.
  • Proficient in technical computations and financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with project delivery standards and safety protocols.
  • Occasional travel may be required based on project needs.
