We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our Internal Medicine team at Transformation Center. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to our internal medicine physicians and clinics.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and credibility to earn the trust and respect of the caregiver community.
- Work with physician, nursing, and operations leaders to advance Transformation Center's capabilities in safety, quality, patient experience, access, and stewardship.
- Support the development and implementation of Quality Improvement initiatives.
- Assist in the development and implementation of medical group and Transformation Center initiatives that are primary care based.
- Provide support for the medical group's participation in the Transformation Center Accountable Care Organization.
- Help promote and implement successful technology strategies within the medical group.
- Assist in the development of strategies for physician and advanced practice provider recruitment.
- Advance professional development, resiliency, engagement, and alignment of all caregivers.
- Participate in medical group and Transformation Center committees and teams.
- MD or DO degree and current board certification in Internal Medicine.
- Current Medical licensure.
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
- Extensive medical practice experience and excellent leadership skills.
- Sound understanding of modern healthcare economics and knowledge of financial principles.
- Demonstrated commitment to the fundamentals of extraordinary care.
- Successful medical leadership experience.
- Physician governance experience, such as participation on a Medical Group Board of Directors.
- Multi-specialty group/clinic experience.
- Managed care knowledge and experience.
- Experience in the management of clinicians and administrative resources.
- Development and implementation of clinical and business quality improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of sophisticated clinical and management information systems.
