Telemetry Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Unit

**Overview**

As a Telemetry Registered Nurse at St. Joseph Health College Station, you will utilize your nursing expertise to meticulously monitor patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, oxygen levels, heart rhythms, and respiratory rates.

Your role will involve reassuring patients and their families by clearly explaining test outcomes and assisting them in making informed healthcare choices.


Every day, you will be an essential part of our nursing team, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to observe patients who require continuous cardiac monitoring.

Building trust in these interactions is key, as you will learn and apply new concepts in real-time to provide effective solutions for our patients.

**Responsibilities**

  • Monitor routine heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation levels.
  • Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and ensure timely documentation.
  • Promptly report and address any changes in patient condition.
  • Clearly and patiently explain test results and procedures to patients and their families.
  • Educate patients on post-hospital care, including prescribed medications, maintenance, and preventive measures.


We are offering a $20,000 Sign-On Bonus in addition to relocation assistance for new hires who meet eligibility criteria.

**Qualifications**

Required Skills:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing or a Nursing Diploma.
  • One (1) or more years of nursing experience.
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Texas.
  • BLS (AHA) certification.

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • One (1) or more years of experience in an Acute Care setting preferred.
