Key Responsibilities- Performs Scrub Functions: Selects and handles instruments and supplies used during procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient operating room environment.
- Performs Circulating Functions: Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition, managing overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
- Assists Surgeons: Directly assists operating physicians with surgical tasks, including hemostasis, suturing, and wound exposure, as well as patient positioning.
- Prepares Operating Rooms: Prepares operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
- Applies Evidence-Based Practice: Applies the existing body of evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge in healthcare to nursing practice, ensuring that nursing care is delivered based on patient's age-specific needs and clinical needs.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
- Experience: No experience required.
- Licensure: Registered Professional Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of employment.
