Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a Sales Associate to join our team at Rack Room Shoes. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, meeting sales and work goals, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by being aware of and practicing company service standards.
  • Meet sales and work goals as directed by store management.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including merchandise presentation and stock arrangement.
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills.
  • Participate in physical inventories, assist in shipping and receiving merchandise, and participate in merchandise placement on the sales floor when needed.
  • Process all sales and POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure.

Requirements:

  • Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with external contacts and all levels of employees.
  • Basic communication, organization, and math skills.
  • Experience in retail sales, preferably specialty retail or footwear.
  • Basic knowledge of policies and procedures.
  • Basic visual merchandising skills and an understanding of Store Presentation Standards.
