We are seeking a skilled Laundry Attendant to join our team at the Mirbeau Inn & Spa in Rhinebeck. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to work behind the scenes and contribute to providing exceptional guest experiences.

About the Job

• The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our laundry facilities, working closely with various departments to meet our high standards.
• Reporting to the Laundry Supervisor Managers, the key responsibilities include preparing linen and towels for washing, operating machinery safely, and maintaining a clean and organized laundry room.

Responsibilities and Tasks

1. Prepare all linen and towels for washing, ensuring consistent loading of machines and adherence to safety procedures.
2. Operate machinery safely and efficiently, monitoring the operation of all equipment and chemicals used.
3. Maintain a clean and organized laundry room, ensuring compliance with Forbes/Mirbeau standards.
4. Sort and distribute linen correctly, identifying stained or damaged items that require special treatment.
5. Stack and store linen on shelves as directed by management, adhering to quality control measures.
6. Assign Evening Housekeeping Service tasks as needed.
7. Perform additional assignments as directed by the Housekeeping Manager.

Requirements and Qualifications

This position requires a person of good health, able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. The ideal candidate must be able to lift up to 40 lbs., follow instructions efficiently, and work with minimal supervision.

A keen attention to detail and excellent time management skills are essential for success in this role.

Estimated Salary Range

$15-$20 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
