Role Overview:

Summary:

The Chief Strategy Officer will serve as the custodian of the concession's Strategic Plan, overseeing local and global initiatives while providing essential support to the CEO. This role demands strategic acumen and problem-solving expertise to advise the CEO on the development, monitoring, and execution of the Company's Strategic Plan, ultimately advancing our mission, objectives, operational excellence, profitability, and organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the CEO to define, implement, and assess the Company's Strategic Plan.
  • Conduct risk assessments and analyze complex issues to deliver strategic guidance and effective solutions.
  • Review operational reports, financial metrics, and budgets to monitor the Company's progress toward its strategic and financial goals.
  • Prepare executive presentations and materials for board meetings, investor conferences, and employee engagements.
  • In partnership with the CEO, communicate performance updates to stakeholders and participate in quarterly Board meetings to report on the Strategic Plan's implementation.
  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders to identify new market opportunities, including significant projects, joint ventures, potential M&A targets, and strategic partnerships.
  • Engage in the analysis, negotiation, and execution of substantial capital investment projects related to project extensions and connectivity enhancements.
  • Implement capital structure optimizations.
  • Contribute to the selection of executive management roles and assess performance to ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Encourage a culture of innovation and technology throughout the organization to enhance process optimization.
  • Assist the CEO in executing people, culture, and change management initiatives.
  • Promote the organization on local and national levels to strengthen community relationships.
  • Report on the progress and outcomes of the Strategic Plan to key stakeholders as relevant.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred in Finance, Engineering, Business Management, Sustainable Urban Planning, or related fields.
  • 10+ years of managerial experience, ideally overseeing roadway contracts, design & construction, and large infrastructure project operations.
  • Significant experience in concession operations and/or infrastructure project acquisition/management is preferred.
  • Proven expertise in strategic planning and execution.
  • Experience in project management and change management.

  • Willingness to travel and work the hours necessary to achieve expected outcomes.
  • Commitment to meet the Company's in-person work requirements.
  • Willingness to relocate to any company location within the US or Canada; global relocation preferred.
