Credentialing Coordinator I Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Credentialing Coordinator I to join our team at Sutter Health.

Job Summary:

The Credentialing Coordinator I is responsible for ensuring the integrity and compliance of our credentialing functions. This includes maintaining relationships with health plan auditors, communicating with physician leaders, and working with other departments to resolve credentialing issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit Credentialing Verification Organization's released files to ensure primary source verification of required physician information.
  • Maintain a database of current and accurate information concerning licensure, board certification, professional liability coverage, and claims for physicians, contracted providers, and Allied Health Professionals.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and multiple customers.

Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Ability to set priorities, manage time, and work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to professionally handle public contact, highly sensitive, and confidential information

$28.27 to $38.17 per hour
