Position Overview

SAIC is in search of a Mathematician specializing in Missile Test Support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver mathematical analysis assistance for missile battery evaluations.
  • Develop testing protocols for various missile battery systems, including planning, executing tests, gathering and analyzing data, and presenting findings to support diverse battery designs across all applications, including innovative prototypes and developmental energy systems.
  • Conduct tests that encompass aging and surveillance, lot acceptance, qualification, and specialized engineering assessments.
  • Ensure that plans and procedures align with Department of Defense standards.

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Physics or Mathematics with no prior experience required.
  • Strong grounding in mathematics and physics, complemented by relevant laboratory experience.
  • Self-driven, independent, detail-oriented, and a responsible collaborator.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and standard office software is essential.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Interim Secret clearance is necessary to commence work, with the potential to obtain a secret clearance. SAIC will facilitate this process.
  • U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
