Transportation Specialist

Job Summary:

Brethren Village Retirement Community is seeking a reliable part-time Driver to transport Residents throughout the campus and off-campus. The successful applicant will possess a class C Commercial Driver's License with a Passenger endorsement and a driving record free from excessive or serious violations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate Brethren Village vehicles, including shuttle buses and/or the Medical Van, to transport Residents.
• Pick-up and drop-off Residents on the route and according to schedule.
• Assist Residents to get on and off the bus as needed, and assist with loading and unloading Residents' packages.
• Meet Department of Transportation (DOT) and Brethren Village requirements, including maintaining a valid PA driver's license, a class C Commercial Driver's License with a Passenger endorsement, and a driving record free from excessive or serious violations.

Requirements:

• A high school diploma or G.E.D.
• Basic computer skills, including the ability to access and navigate websites, and use software, apps, and databases independently.
• Dependability, with the ability and willingness to meet attendance standards.
• Attention to safety, with the ability and willingness to consistently work in a safe and alert manner, and to report to work fit for duty.
• Additional requirements include a minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience, the ability to read and speak English, and a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate.

Working Conditions:

The Driver will work in a safe and alert manner, and will be required to wear protective equipment as needed. The work schedule will be part-time, typically 8 to 24 hours per week, with periodic weekend work.

Benefits:
