We are seeking a distinguished Pediatric Ophthalmology Research Clinician to join our esteemed institution. This role is pivotal in advancing the field of pediatric ophthalmology through clinical practice and research.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Engage in clinical and surgical practices focusing on the medical and surgical management of pediatric patients, including newborns and adolescents.
2. Participate in teaching and mentoring activities for fellows, residents, and medical students in pediatric ophthalmology.
3. Develop and maintain a funded research program in pediatric ophthalmic diseases and vision science.
4. Contribute to scholarly publications in high-impact journals and present findings at national and international conferences.
Clinical Duties:
The role encompasses both outpatient and inpatient clinical responsibilities at a leading children's hospital, with opportunities for surgical interventions and on-call duties. You will also have the chance to engage in outpatient clinics and surgeries at various specialty care centers.
Research and Scholarship:
Successful candidates will be expected to drive innovative research initiatives, fostering the growth of the pediatric ophthalmology research program. Collaboration with other departments and contribution to the academic community is highly encouraged.
